Job Description
The Solar Engineer is responsible for designing, supervising, and supporting the installation of solar energy systems within the Solar Panel Project. The engineer ensures technical accuracy, system safety, proper installation, and efficient commissioning for both residential and commercial solar solutions. Additionally, the Solar Engineer must have basic marketing knowledge to help promote solar services and communicate technical benefits to customers.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct site surveys and load assessments.
- Design solar system layouts (on-grid, hybrid, off-grid).
- Prepare system quotations, sizing calculations, string configurations, cable routes, and engineering drawings.
- Supervise installation teams and ensure compliance with technical and safety standards.
- Configure inverters, batteries, monitoring applications, and protection devices.
- Perform system testing, commissioning, documentation, and customer handover.
- Provide after-sales technical support and troubleshooting.
- Support marketing activities by explaining the advantages of solar systems to customers, assisting in preparing technical content for promotional materials, and helping distribute brochures and awareness materials to promote BIM’s solar services.
Daily Tasks
- Visit project sites for supervision, surveys, or customer meetings.
- Finalize system designs, calculations, and drawings.
- Check installation quality and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Configure inverters such as Solis, Deye, Felicity, and others.
- Coordinate with operations and warehouse teams regarding materials, equipment, and schedules.
- Solve customer technical issues and provide timely feedback.
- Assist the sales/marketing team by providing technical insights for promotions, presentations, and customer inquiries.
